MEET TYLER
Fisherman and Boat Captain. Sportsman and Conservationist. Public Servant and Entrepreneur. Girl Dad and Reality TV star. Vegetable gardener and beekeeper. Cancer survivor.

Tyler Macallister isn’t a career politician and that’s exactly why he’s running for Congress. After years of watching Washington become disconnected from the people it’s supposed to serve, Tyler believes Massachusetts deserves leadership grounded in real-world experience, common sense, and accountability.
For more than two decades, Tyler has served Mattapoisett in multiple community leadership roles, including the last thirteen years as an elected member of the Select Board. Throughout his service, he has focused on keeping his hometown safe, affordable, and family-oriented, a place where people can build careers, raise children, and retire with dignity.
Outside of public service, Tyler is widely known throughout New England’s fishing community as a charter boat captain and commercial fisherman who helped popularize sustainable bluefin tuna harpoon fishing. His work on the water earned national attention through appearances on multiple television programs, including Discovery Channel's Harpoon Hunters.
Tyler also brings extensive private-sector and energy industry experience to the table, experience he believes is critically missing in Congress today.
Proud Father and Girl Dad!
Tyler and Cindy recently celebrated 24 years of marriage, and their daughter is graduating this year from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
A lifelong Cape Codder until settling in Mattapoisett with his wife, Cindy, in 2001, Tyler has spent his life working, raising a family, and serving the South Coast community he calls home. Alongside Cindy and their Black Lab, Zeke, Tyler built a life centered on hard work, public service, and protecting the coastal way of life that makes Southeastern Massachusetts unique.
